The Homefront

On October 7, 2023, Hamas launched a massive attack against Israel. Hundreds of terrorists breached the security fence that separated Gaza from Israel, pouring into the nearby kibbutz (loose translation of kibbutz is private community). At the same time, more terrorists paraglided into Israeli territory, dropping in on a music festival. They were met by Hamas reinforcements that penetrated the fence riding in pickup trucks or motor bikes.

Then the killing began.

As of the publication of this piece, Hundreds of Israelis are dead. That number is expected to rise as more information becomes available. At the same time, the IDF is in the process of flattening Gaza, from the land, sea, and air.

Why do I talk about those lost? There are plenty of rumors, but I want to turn the reader’s attention to a truth Q buried in post 570;

Let us not forget that we can question the motives for any conflict while respecting the dead and the plight of those suffering. It is good to pause and remember that there are real people who have been affected by the opening stages of this awful war and that the Lord God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked (Ezekiel 33:11).

Yet, at the same time, conduct matters. For example, Hamas could have deployed their fighters to their objectives along the security fence and ordered the civilians to leave the area. They could have then dug in and waited for the IDF to arrive and fight armed soldiers in an attempt to hold territory. That move would have been an embarrassment for the IDF and the Israeli government, as well as a significant propaganda victory.

But that’s not what happened. Instead, Hamas chose terrorism. Hamas chose to murder unarmed civilians, butcher children, rape women, and torture their captives. These acts are cowardly, and worthy of disgust. This is not the conduct of soldiers.

In this time when emotion runs hot, let us not lose our compassion and let us not forsake our morality, when we use our discernment to stand up to evil, look it in the eye, and call it “wretched” to its face.

I open with this because it matters back here at home.

The Coming Event?

The Southern Border of the United States has been open for decades. The only President that tried to do anything about it was Donlad J. Trump. Furthermore, the FBI, ICE, and Homeland Security have been warning the public for years that it is a mathematical certainty that people on terrorist watchlists have snuck through the border and are within the United States. A recent example even includes an incident where Border Patrol caught and then released a migrant who appeared on the Terror Watchlist. This individual was later apprehended, but it begs the question, “how many more have slipped through?”

Let us continue. On Tuesday, the ATF sent out a bulletin to border state FFL’s requesting them to keep an eye out for criminal networks attempting to purchase belt fed firearms or .50 caliber rifles.

At the time, this was an odd request that raised an eyebrow. It left everyone suspicious, only able to guess at the intelligence information that led the ATF to warn FFL’s.

With the attack still fresh in everyone’s minds, this Monday former speaker Kevin McCarthy (R - CA 20) told the Washington Free Beacon that the United States could be attacked by Hamas. Former Speaker McCarthy mentioned the open border and slammed the Biden Administration for its role in the border crisis and for its actions that released money to Iran. What McCarthy didn’t mention is that the Biden administration, in its zeal to undo Trump-era policies, has been supplying terrorist networks for years, starting with the disastrous pullout of Afghanistan. In that embarrassment, the United States left billions of dollars of military equipment that fell into the hands of the Taliban.

In addition to this admission by McCarthy, we are getting ominous social media posts.

Donald Trump Jr. had this to say on X:

On October 10, Khalid Mashal, the leader of Hamas, asked Muslims to show anger this coming Friday (October 13) in Muslim countries and also around the world. The purpose? Send a message to Israel and America.

Let us recap:

• ATF sends out a bulletin warning FFL’s of criminal enterprises looking to acquire belt-fed weapons and .50 caliber rifles.

• Hamas staged a violent and brutal attack targeting civilians. This attack utilized hundreds of terrorists assaulted civilian targets with small arms, RPG’s, and MANPADS.

• Articles and SM posts from Conservative Inc and MAGA go out warning the public of a Hamas terror attack in the continental US. The timeline for the attack is set as soon as the next few days to anytime in the next 14 months.

The Predictable Government Response

Let’s assume that major US cities are attacked by Hamas terror cells in the same way that Israel was attacked. US law enforcement has not trained to counter a threat like this. For the last 20 years, US law enforcement has been training to counter the lone mass shooter or a small crew robbing banks. Those are different threats than heavily armed infantry squads attacking civilian targets. Current SOP involves cordoning off the area where the shooter is, then sending in a team to search for and engage the shooter. Domestic law enforcement encountering a platoon-sized group of heavily armed terrorists is not something that has happened in the history of the United States. I would not expect such an encounter to go well for the police, and like what happened in Israel, I would expect that the military will need to be called in to deal with a threat this severe.

In the aftermath of such an attack, the government response is predictable.

• Calls for civilian disarmament

• Calls to suspend the 2024 elections (first, primaries and then the general)

• Calls for extended shelter-in-place (lockdowns) except for essential workers

• Calls for mail-in voting

• Calls for suspension of 4th amendment rights

• Calls for monitoring of online activity

• Calls for monitoring of banking transactions

Like the Patriot Act, one can rest assured that legislative proposals to accomplish the above are already drafted and waiting. How convenient. Agenda 2030 and a way to eliminate the deep state problem of a second Trump presidency all rolled into one ongoing threat that could appear anytime, anywhere. Ideas were tossed around the patriot movement about a COVID-19 2.0 coming around just in time for the 2024 election as a way to justify mail in voting and lockdowns. It may be that terror attacks will instead be used as an excuse to accomplish the same thing.

The Constitutional Response

There is an alternative to this nightmare scenario. When the constitution was ratified in 1791 and became the supreme law of the land, the drafters were careful to add a doomsday provision in the constitution. That provision is the second amendment.

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

In the 2008 Heller v. D.C. case, Justice Scalia defined every word in the text and how they apply to US law. Look what the court said about “security.”

The highest court in the land explicitly says that the militia (and by extension, the Second Amendment) is useful for repelling an invasion. This is exactly the scenario that would describe thousands of armed enemy terrorists shooting civilians; invasion. Elsewhere in the Heller opinion, the court defines “the militia” as the people of the United States, and confers an individual right to keep and bear arms. This language in Heller has not been litigated, but that does not change the fact that it exists, and it is strong language that provides legal cover to citizens that find themselves in a situation where they need to repel an invasion by a violent foreign organization.

Fear Not - Be Ready!

In this scenario, we would do well to follow the advice of Donald Trump Jr. Make sure you have a semi-automatic rifle with a few extra 30-round magazines.

Yes, I am aware that “laws” in some jurisdictions make these items illegal. If I am sure of one thing, I am sure of this; if thousands of terrorists start shooting Americans in every major city, nobody will care about gun control laws, and the courts won’t either. Let me introduce you to a legal concept called the necessity defense;

“The defense of necessity may apply when an individual commits a criminal act during an emergency situation in order to prevent a greater harm from happening.”

This means that there are exigent, emergency, circumstances that congress could not anticipate, and breaking the law is necessary to prevent a greater harm. A form of this legal defense is used when a self-defense case arises; the crime of homicide is excused if the defendant was justified in using lethal force.

Another part of being ready involves having one’s affairs in order. Is there a plan to get your family out of harm’s way? Is there a code word that one family member can utter, and the family leaves the area, no questions asked? Is there a community group of like-minded people that can organize a defense, and if necessary, travel to meet the threat? Does the reader possess not only a rifle, magazines, and ammunition, but a way to carry that equipment? Have the signs of an impending attack been studied?

Now is the time to address and fix any short comings. Now is the time to seek training on the semiautomatic rifle and how to employ it in an urban environment.

Closing

I understand the possibility of being attacked by a terrorist group may be unsettling. Our nation and our people have gone through abuse by government agencies, have had lies told about us by the media, have endured violations of civil liberties by governments acting to thwart a “plandemic”, have witnessed the theft of an election, and seen our fortunes and way of life evaporate. Yet here we remain.

• Focus on defending yourself, your families, and your communities.

• Resist calls for disarmament - as the world has just witnessed in Israel, being armed is to survive. Obeying gun control laws means torture and death. Make the decision for yourself if the extreme danger exists to be covered by the defense of necessity.

• We have a nation that is careening aimless, without a leader. We will have the opportunity to correct that in 2024. Vote. Volunteer. Serve. Make sure we as patriots overwhelm whatever electoral “adjustments” the uniparty has planned.

If the deep state is resorting to running gun attacks in order to maintain control over the United States, this tells me one very important thing.

They are out of options.

We have the deep state on the ropes. Keep calling them out. Keep resisting their plans. Keep your eyes on the prize.
